Finished Re-reading: Neuromancer by William Gibson 📚
It’s still incredible to read just how many futuristic things Gibson accurately described way back in 1982 but the accuracy that stood out most in this read is how thoroughly wealth can destroy peoples' humanity.
Before Disney, before David Filoni, and even before the prequel movies Star Wars fans had the Thrawn Trilogy by Timothy Zahn. Having just finished the trilogy, they live up to the hype and were very fun reads I’d recommend to any fan.📚
Finally getting around to reading the original Thrawn Trilogy from the earlyy 1990’s. Really enjoying it so far!
Finished reading: The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson 📚
Really enjoyed how unconventional this book was with its ghost story. It’s no wonder why so many adaptations have been made from it.
Finished reading: The Nineties by Chuck Klosterman 📚
Many people of the nineties—many modern people, many of whom are still very much alive—were exceedingly comfortable not knowing anything for certain.
I’m so thankful to have grown up in a time without the pressure to be certain about literally everything.
Finished reading: Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves: The Druid’s Call by E. K. Johnston 📚
I don’t care how basic this book makes me look. I devoured it as quickly as I did with her Ashoka book. My only criticism is the obvious note she got to shorten the middle of the book. I want a sequel.
Finished reading: Number One Is Walking by Steve Martin 📚
The first half of the book is a fun way to add meat onto some short but interesting anecdotes. Oddly, the later half of the book is just unrelated New Yorker style cartoons.
