Finally got my heart rate into the all important Zone 4 during my exercise.
I’ve been using my anxiety over AI and other technological enshitificatiins to do more in the real world. Taking more walks, chatting with friends, taking the family out for ice cream, and witnessing sunsets.

A baby robin stopped by to check me out during his first test flight out of the nest. I felt bad for the nearby parents who immediately wrote them off for dead. Thankfully, once they got far enough from me, the parents fed them and everyone continuedd having a good afternoon.
Tales of the Empire is good in many of the ways that Star Wars is good but I’m not sure how long I can sit through the trend of “how evil can evil get?” plots in this universe. It’s feeling similar to how everything became set in or about WWII in the early 2000’s. I don’t find fascism fascinating.
Had the good fortune of spending a night at the beautiful Hokelaga Inn in Kingston, Ontario. My daughter and I wondered why none of the ultra wealthy build their own Victorian houses?
I think I had somebody else’s dreams last night. Places I didn’t recognize, events with no personal meaning, nobody I knew. It’s made for a strange morning.
My wife surprised me with an amazing concert of one of my favorite bands, Djangophonique (Link), at the Detroit Institute of Art.
