Didn’t expect to end the day hiding in the basement with a tornado warning. Thankfully, none appeared and everything appears ok.

Most people apologize for an absence from their blog but the end of summer has been so packed with life that I can only celebrate it. Even my personal journal has been abandoned for multiple days.

I’ve been enjoying running so much that I bought a little helper to keep me on track.


Even though the new school year is looming, the evenings still stretch long. Besides, you don’t have to be in until after the steeetlights come on. There’s time for one more game.

Visited a university my brother in-law’s architecture firm is working with. I saw many thoughtful details. This is the school of music and the staircase reveals how the entire building was designed to function as practice spaces by always angling one wall differently to better deflect sound.
