In any other light, these clouds wouldn’t have held more than a passing glance. Tonight, however, the sunset turned them into a glowing crayon drawing left by some enormous toddler.


Spotted a Dark-eyed Junco huddling in the branches of our backyard today. Apparently they are true snowbirds, coming down from Canada for winter. They must be tough to find 4° F a warm escape.


Making New Friends

The whole family misses all the wildlife we used to enjoy in our Florida backyard so we’ve started leaving some seed piles to let the locals know we’re a friendly place. The cat approves of our plan.


Trust - She’ll sleep this way for as long as we will let her.
