When you’re living in a Simon Stalenhag painting.
Every time a D&D campaign ends, I get a miniature of my character printed and paint them. This campaign was the sequel to an earlier one so I got to dust off the same character and upgrade him. It’s so fun to develop him in new directions.
Both campaigns take place in the frozen north so I used our recent snowfall to photograph him.


While the systems we took for granted collapse around us, my response has been to go into the world and re-learn art with other artists. It’s humbling to dive into my weaknesses but hope and human connection blossom during the struggles of creating together. Love is in community, not commodity.
