Ohio Art 1989 Catalog cover

In fourth grade, Ohio Art, the company that made the Etch-A-Sketch line, came to my elementary school and used us as models for their 1989 catalog. As they arranged us, their much-coveted Animator came tantalizingly close to being handed to me. (A memory that @bogart triggered.)

For the first time in four months, we could open all the windows and let in some glorious fall air. The day crescendoed with a sunset light show in the clouds.

The first morning of fall temperatures has finally arrived and it feels amazing. (30 degree drop in one day) It will be a while before it stays like this but we’re going to take advantage of it as much as we can.

The sun’s fall shift in the sky means more of the glass in the house cast beautiful prisms everywhere.


The ferns and spanish moss covering these live oak trees make the walking paths beautiful at sunset but foreboding on overcast days. (Posted for @hollyhoneychurch)

Yellow-throated Warbler decided to visit us today. We were hoping that the season change would bring new birds.
