It’s -6° F! 🥶 (Feels-like -14°)
Me and a neighborhood friend spent the day helping our elderly neighbor pack for a fast approaching move. We’re very sad to see her leaving but that spurred us into putting that much more effort into getting her squared away.
Everyone deserves to feel supported and loved, especially the vulnerable.
After decades of seeing fake, over-saturated travel photos online, it’s tough to convince anyone when you experience one in your own backyard.
45 is being able to regularly drink a pot of black coffee with zero issues but, having one can of coke and a slice of cake at my daughter’s birthday makes my body feel like I’m that much closer to death. The sugar hits differently.
I was delighted when the morning greeted me with beautiful blue skies and newly fallen snow. I’d rather be hiking in it than sitting in this morning meeting.
I was hanging Christmas lights to add some color to our dark evenings and the sky absolutely showed me up. Those colors aren’t boosted, they were that saturated in real life. I couldn’t help but repeatedly stop working to stare in awe.
Morning person vs night person: My wife has done both her strength and aerobic workouts while I’m still in my pj’s watching it snow with the cat asleep on my chest. I did make coffee though!
The cat will now live in her heated bed until spring and just like that, it’s treadmill season for me.
In the cold of winter,
with tree limbs now bare,
along the dark road,
stands a beast who stares.
A star in his paw
for a tree made of light,
he waves as you pass,
turn home, don’t turn right.
We were greeted with a beautiful sunrise right after exiting our voting place. Hoping that today, Americans rejecting hate and fear will turn out.
