The family was lucky enough to grab tickets to a feast of knock-your-socks-off jazz last night at the Plymouth Penn theater. Dichi kicked us off with a bang before Cabare Boreale came and stole our hearts. Finally, Chris Plum brought the house down.

Traveling through farmlands in the American midwest, I can see the inspiration behind many painted masterworks.
Thankful to be celebrating my grandfather’s 97th birthday with lots of family. This sunset view was the perfect cap-off to a meaningful weekend.
Animals do things that we have never seen, and will never see. Maybe it’s because they do those things cautiously, privately; or maybe it’s just because the world is vast, and they do them, just by chance, when nobody is looking. Odds are good, because usually, nobody is looking.
It is an act of significant discipline to say, “I’m going to stare out the window. I’m going to schedule some time to stare out the window.”
The good news is I kept all of our pomegranates from spoiling. The bad news is my T-shirt looks like I’ve just killed somebody.
We still have a long way to go but at least we’re not back in the bad old days of this war recruitment poster.
