Traveling through farmlands in the American midwest, I can see the inspiration behind many painted masterworks.
Thankful to be celebrating my grandfather’s 97th birthday with lots of family. This sunset view was the perfect cap-off to a meaningful weekend.
Animals do things that we have never seen, and will never see. Maybe it’s because they do those things cautiously, privately; or maybe it’s just because the world is vast, and they do them, just by chance, when nobody is looking. Odds are good, because usually, nobody is looking.
It is an act of significant discipline to say, “I’m going to stare out the window. I’m going to schedule some time to stare out the window.”
The good news is I kept all of our pomegranates from spoiling. The bad news is my T-shirt looks like I’ve just killed somebody.
We still have a long way to go but at least we’re not back in the bad old days of this war recruitment poster.
I’m jealous of people who can journal their lives with pages of prose. Nothing I could write would match this photo of my small but lovely autumn view.
Another rainy day so the sun only had the briefest of moments to make some color. (That’s colour in Celsius.)
The autumn colors only tickled the tips of this mornings clouds for a few seconds before disappearing.
