As much as I enjoy journaling on paper, switching to Day One seems to have finally cracked my problem with abandoning the practice. For now, my phone is my new notebook.

Overnight, all was coated in crystal. Everything now, is still and locked in place. But soon, the sun will gleam and the grass will rise from their bow.

Don’t normally share my art here but I’m super happy with my little Dragonborn, in his freshman Silverquill uniform, practicing his beginning Inkomancy.

My thoughtful brother in-law gifted me some vintage 1980’s Dungeons and Dragons metal figures. Their numbers aren’t even stamped into the bases, they’re hand carved! Now I have to figure out where I can find more information about them.

While the teen is away, the parents will play. Enjoying some good music and coffee with the college students in Ann Arbor. My wife and I joked that we were the only people in the place not wearing headphones and on a laptop.

Winter’s chill is ever so slowly waning from the air as the melting snows begin to water the plants they once covered.

We stopped so the train could pass which began a dance over the next several miles. First it went over us, and then we went over it, and finally we traveled side by side, through hills and trees, until our paths diverged.

We set out
and bear witness to a moment.
Silent as the scene before us.
