Enjoyed the temporary “heatwave” with a wonderful dinner at Lumen in downtown Detroit. (Hard to believe it was 2° and snowing just a few days ago.)

Good to see that the local wildlife is finding the food we’ve left for them in spite of the single digit temperatures.


Thankfully, the worst of the bomb cyclone seems to be passing over us. A really great day to hide indoors with hot coffee and watch the snow drift by. 7° F/-13° C (feels like -14°)


Enjoying all the sun I can before Friday’s blizzard. It might be 22° (-5.5c) but the sun is out and it’s a beautiful day.

My wife discovered that we have a Yemenis coffee shop just up the street from us so we visited this morning. Everyone loved what they ordered and my Turkish coffee was just incredible. I can’t wait to try all of their other specialties.


December is off to a great start. The lights are up inside and out, the tree is glowing in the corner, and baking cookies are filling the house.
