I met one of the new baby hawks on a walk yesterday. Totally fearless about us walking under her. I wish I’d had my real camera with me but it was close enough to capture this with my phone.

Tonight is looking more tropical than usual so we took a walk to appreciate the saturated sky.

Got lucky yesterday as I had about 10 seconds to get a shot of this Pileated Woodpecker that we always hear, but never see. Love that red crest.

I’m a little late in celebrating my first year on here. Like much of the world, the COVID lockdown forced a new focus to my online communities. I left the perpetual trolling and self-aggrandizing hustle of the big social networks and joined …

It’s been crazy hot for “spring” (90°F/32°C) but it’s still dry enough to cool down in the evening. I’m taking the time to appreciate the season.

Downtown to get the kid her first vaccination.

Today, my office confirmed that my team is free to continue working remotely for the foreseeable future. It feels like a large weight has been lifted from me. 🥳

Mother’s Day was a visit to the Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo. The temperature was a sweltering 92F/33C but the colors were lovely.

Spotted an awesome sticker at one of our local coffee spots.

Haircut!!! Full COVID vaccination means I could finally get my first haircut in over a year. It feels glorious!

Finally had the first quality time in a year with some friends. Never appreciated laughing over drinks and music during a beautiful sunset more.
