The squirrels have a lot more than blue jays to worry about this morning!

Spring continues to increase the diversity of our backyard birds. This week, the blue jays have returned to battle the squirrels for seeds.

Cardinal Kiss Cam This couple loves to feed each other each night at our feeders. It’s very sweet.

Pawbucks A Starbucks near our college campus has a fun collection of pets that come through their drive-through.


Found a yellow tailed dragonfly to go with my previous blue one. It’s one of the few insects I’m excited to see hatching.

Somehow a Rose-breasted Grosbeak flew all the way down from the great white north to hang out in our backyard. Good thing we had snacks prepared!


I drew a couple more “stickers” for Sticker Doodle. I’m particularly happy with how the OctoPencil turned out. I’m pushing myself to be faster and more playful with them.

The dragonfly’s are hatching with the warm weather. Not only are they beautiful but they also eat mosquitos.


It’s raining too much for photo taking today so here’s one from my first visit to London.

(Posting this for @maique) The coffee bucket list is real. After finishing my sixth or seventh tasting journal, I figured I needed to calm myself down a bit.


Another hummingbird arrived in the back yard and the first is not happy to share. Lots of beautiful mid-air battles.


Tonight’s setting sun lingered on anything that would agree to glow and the neighborhood was alive with the sounds of people walking and bicycling. Everyone united in their refusal to give up the day.
