šŸ“· mbfeb Day 6 | Sport

I was a good sport about having to restitch this book about seven times. I finally managed it in the end.

šŸ“· mbfeb Day 3 | Comfort

In our house, the ultimate cat bed is two futon’s and a comforter.

Black coffee, the sunrise, and the local birds.

šŸŽØ I really wanted some Hilda art for my office so I spent some time making one of my own.

It’s time to recover from a day full of exciting new birds.

The cats continue to carefully catalog all of the new friends arriving in town.

These winter evenings, I love to stand outside and watch the light burn itself out.

Wrapped up and zonked out. Warm blankets are shared with the whole family.

We heard a loud noise and found an unlucky dove had slammed into our window. Hit so hard that you can even see it’s eye in the powder mark it left. Thankfully, it turned out to be ok and is still cooing and flying.

The closest photo I could get of a Red-shouldered Hawk who put on an air show today. It kept to a small area where it would catch currents and up-drafts to swoop and soar with ease.

This morning, a pair of young American Goldfinches were nice enough to pose for me. We were all still and quiet for a long time, just watching the sunrise together over bird seed and coffee.

Today’s cat schedule:

  • Run outside to intimidate the squirrels
  • Run back inside when it gets too cold
  • Sleep like you haven’t a care in the world

A hawk on my walk! This lovely one allowed me to get surprisingly close for a photo.

Clear and blue 50~70 degree days. I live for Florida’s winter!

Today I met a very fashionable tree wearing this season’s hottest colors.

I’d love to see the whole line of the large, glass insulation discs up close. (I couldn’t decide which was better, color or black and white, so I posted both.)
