I very nearly walked by this on yesterday’s walk. With just a little winter rain, the moss blooms an intense green. The vines have been giving us beautiful colors this year as well.
Ever feel like you’re being watched?
It may be cold but our fire-spike is still keeping itself ready for the bees and hummingbirds.
Today I’m thankful for the simple things like watching the dawn light as it plays through the leaves of the trees, cardinals and titmice singing a happy song as my wife fills their feeders with new seed.
The temperature managed to dip below freezing last night, a rarity for Florida. We’re embracing it as a chance to wear all of the sweaters and scarves that normally sit in storage.
🎅🏻 Merry Christmas 🎄
Took a long walk in a lovely winter sunset.

This year has been cold enough to turn the leaves and I’m enjoying an extended season of colors.🍁
Cold (for Florida) morning walk.
A friend and I finally found an opportunity to have a socially distanced visit. Even with the advances in virtual visitations, there is nothing like the real thing.
🥳 Woo, my D&D mini prints came in today! Going to paint these guys, add them to my others, and make a character trophy case.
Contemplating cardinal on a cold morning.
My favorite backyard buddy: the Titmouse. These little spitfires are not only the perfect balance of size and speed but they’re super cute when they flirt with each other. Defensive squawks turn into small, loving chirps.
Having fun with some macro photos today.
Twisted
🐊 The alligators are really not enjoying the colder temperatures. Of the four I saw on today’s walk, all we’re looking downright pouty.
A cold day of rain among the old and twisted oaks.
Now the house is ready for Christmas.
Fishing. The late sunset made it the trees reflection look like fall colors for a few minutes.
