Missives from the dark forest.
Now that I finally found the DVD, the family enjoyed a new fall tradition of watching Over the Garden Wall together.
I know it’s trite but, having lived away from real seasons for so many years, the fall color changes are still a magical time of year.
I have to face the fact that I’ve given up on this year’s Inktober. I am far more creative making one-off pieces for actual humans than doing challenges for strangers on the internet.
There’s no accident that there’s a lot of overlap between the book banners and the people who want to automate creativity using fake AI. The creative process is full of trial, uncertainty, and error in dialogue with other artists. That is basically antithetical to certainty and authority.
